ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology.  As a professional, I have been working with children and families providing therapy services in various capacities since 2006. I have been employed in the human services field for public and private sector organizations, have worked for schools and non-profit agencies. My work has also included working in residential programs, judicial systems, mental health hospitals, juvenile justice, foster-care, and child(ren) protective services. I have experience in providing therapeutic services to people of all ages, alternative lifestyles, many religious affiliations and individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

While I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities, the actual counseling approach used with a client is determined by that client's level of need. I have helped many achieve constructive changes in their trauma experiences, managing mental health symptoms, and achieve personal relationship success while meeting people exactly where they are in terms of their readiness to change. I will incorporate a strengths-based and client-centered focus that seeks to enhance the client's level of motivation for personal growth.

I believe that everyone can change when faced with adversities when provided with an empathetic, nonjudgmental, compassionate and safe environment. I believe that seeking assistance with dealing with life challenges demonstrates a great deal of strength and I can help you discover the tools already inside of you to cope with your struggles and enable you to see life the way God intended it to be for you.

Looking for spiritual guidance and life coaching, come schedule with me today.

I received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and International Business from Davenport University, a Master’s in marketing and management from the University of Phoenix, and my certification as a Life Coach from the Life Coach Institute. My educational experience helped me to develop a passion for helping individuals develop their own career paths and reorganize their priorities in order to have a better financial future. Furthermore, as a spiritual coach, I focus on teaching individuals how to open their minds to set them on a true path of spiritual development that will aid them into having a better life of creativity and will power. Through strengthening the mind, individuals will create a greater awareness of self, learn how to meditate on the word in order to break any type of addictions as well as learn how to love yourself before you can love others appropriately.

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

I am a graduate student, currently completing my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling through Capella University, with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. For the past twelve years, I was a paramedic in good standing, employed in the private district, working in Oakland, Wayne, and Washtenaw counties. During my years as a paramedic, I have seen first hand the effects of long-term illnesses and traumatic events upon the mental health of those affected, as well as their families, close friends, and medical caregivers.
Due to these experiences, I believe that each client should be recognized as an individual, and that each client's treatment should reflect that. I also believe that the client understands their own needs and desires the best, and therefore recognize that the needs and individual goals of the client should dictate the manner and style of treatment which is performed.
